This weekend I was asked a question that I don't remember ever being asked before. I was asked what the most exciting thing about God has been to me recently. I thought I'd share my answer...

Lately I've noticed more than ever that when I don't think I will ever know the answer God puts the answer right in front of me. He's been doing that lately in many different ways. It is so exciting to see it happen and know that it is God. I love that we're NEVER alone!!!

I'm also pretty excited because I learned how to sing in french this past weekend!! Ask Cam and Carla, I think we were phenomenal!!!

Actually....not all that bad...

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday much better than I had thought it might be!!!
The day before was lunch and shopping with Sarah who I haven't spent my birthday with in a long, long time.
Nothing like roses,presents, pizza and cake (2 cakes actually) to make what I was not looking forward to actually enjoyable...Thanks Mom, Dad, Carrie and the kids (who sang to me!!)
And then if I hadn't had enough fun a Sunday brunch with the ladies....Thanks Heather (obviously you'll never listen to me!), Denise, Danielle and Melody...(T there was an empty seat in your honour!!)
And tomorrow...another dinner where 2 birthdays will be celebrated....my cousin Krista turns 25 and feels very young considering my age!!!
So far this 26 stuff might not be as bad as I thought!!!!

I woke up this morning to a little bit of snow but quite frankly I'm getting sick of waiting for a good snowfall...I don't want to have to do this but I will if it comes down to it.

Tonight and for the last few days I've not been myself. Tonight I read James 1 and immediately felt different. The first few verses especially....

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows it's true colours. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do it's work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way. If you don't know what you're doing, PRAY to the Father. He love to help.

After I read that I listened to a song called GIVE ME JESUS here are some of the lyrics:

I'm amazed everytime when I sit and spend time with God the peace that He gives me.

I have set 6 (YES 6!!!) traps for the little sucker. I heard him first on Thursday after I woke up scurrying around in the walls and went straight out and got the traps and still haven't caught the little freak!!! Last night about 4am I could hear him above my head as I tried to sleep. This relationship is not working for me so he needs to be caught!!! I'm even thinking about getting a cat!! And that's not like me!!!

I've missed Tamara and tonight finally got to catch up and have a great time with her. We're going to be friends I hope you all know!!!
She's really a fantastic woman. I love that she thinks for herself. She is a very thoughtful person as well and she introduced me to the milk steamer...MMMM!!! I can't wait to be friends with her!!!
One more thing....she has a phenomenal sense for good music....Brett Dennen...fabulous suggestion T!!! (Grey's Anatomy even loves him!!!)

Snowboarding is going to be this years new winter activity....Matt Fallaise is going to teach his big sister and her friend Amy how to snowboard and I'm so freakin' excited!!!
I've guaranteed all involved a few good laughs and he says we'll actually be able to do it.....he's also guaranteed a few falls (that's where the laughs come in)
With a couple of months to wait in anticipation.....WISH ME LUCK!!!

Well after some thinking and clearly no help from anyone, I've decided to mention a good man I (we) have the pleasure of knowing and getting to know better.
On Monday Cam and I went out for a hot drink, and I would just like to mention that Cam did a good thing. We were catching up and chatting and he was able to do something that I can assure you that not many have done before. He made me think!!! It's always good to hear others opinions or thoughts about something and think about your own stand and whether or not it's the right one. I didn't completely change my opinion but it broadened my thinking. It's also refreshing to know of man of God that has standards and is a good guy!!! So thanks Cam!!! (I hope you don't mind the stolen picture!!)
Next up.....Denise Elliott.....I have a date with her on Monday and I'm sure I'll have something good to say about her as well!!

Some of my favorite stuff to listen to right now....Lance Armstrong and my addiction to my Ipod turned me on to Wideawake!!!! Grey's Anatomy has a lot to do with the others.....John Mayer is my boyfriend and Tristan Prettyman was just a lucky find!!!

Today the ladies shared yet again a great word that really got me thinking.....UNPACK

I took this week off work just to breathe and take some time for myself which I've not done in a long time it seems. I'm getting some things done that I've been trying to do for quite awhile now. One of those things is reading God's word. I was reminded today that reading the bible is a way to get to know Him better and that makes it much more exciting to me.

UNPACKING to me is taking some time to really enjoy my life now and realize that I am where I am for a reason. I look forward to God's plan for my life but I need to remind myself that God's plan for me right now is to be where I am. I need to settle in my life now and take time to get to know God better and improve my relationship with Him. I need also to take time for myself and do things to make myself happy and a better person.

I am being blessed my spending time with these ladies.

I remember that verse being read to me a few years ago and it has really stuck with me ever since...today while chatting with a group of ladies about somethings in my life that verse once again became very clear in my mind and it excites me!!!
I need to remind myself of that daily and I need to focus on change in my life that will make my wildest dreams come true.

I've decided to return to the blog world....who knows how frequently but every now and again I'll pop by....
